IC Info
Character Name: Rain Ocampo
Journal: ocamporain
Fandom: Resident Evil
PB: Michelle Rodriguez
Species: Human
Age: 23
Sexuality: Straight
Physical Description: Rain has dark, ebony hair that falls about mid-back with brown eyes and olive colored skin from her heritage. The woman is often seen with her hair pulled back in a braided ponytail and little fly away hairs curving around her chin. She's petite at the height of 5'4 and is 125 pounds. Her usual look is a black t-shirt, black BDU pants and lace up combat boots. Normally she's seen packing heavy guns and equipment.
Personality: Rain is a cut to the chase character and has anger management problems that need to be seriously corrected. She is a professional and knows what she's doing with or without orders. Most of the time she is a good listener when people are above rank and will keep her mouth shut. But always Ocampo doesn't like to deal with civilians or people who don't know quite frankly what they're doing. She's the anti-hero. No one has to thank her, no one has to give her any hand outs, it's just doing her job.
Strong points/Skills: The young woman is very aggressive which may or may not be a good thing. Her abrasiveness and determination however is what gets her by in tight situations. Rain is a hard worker and a go-getter, she's determined. If underestimated the consequences on your end could be fatal.
Hand to hand combat. She's a fighter, knows how to take someone down and could most likely take a grown man over her shoulder and kick his ass. She's seen it all as far as she's concerned.
Weapons, firearms. Rain is the top notch marksman and has top notch skills. She can fire any weapon and never miss. Though no one is perfect, there are always hits and misses when it comes to a 'situation' but most of the time she's damn good.
Weaknesses:
Her mouth almost always gets her in trouble. People don't want to hear it, don't want to deal with her and often become angry. But watch out, she puts up a front and it's got a powerful punch and a nasty aftermath.
Anti-hero. Rain doesn't want congratulations, she doesn't want hand outs. She just wants to do her job and get it over with. If you're thankful, she doesn't care. It's all in the job description.
Emotional. Though she doesn't show it, Rain is very emotional on the inside both with her anger and with how she handles things.
Biography: Growing up in Detroit, Michigan with two older brothers and a single mother, Rain was brought up into the world of poverty, fighting and surviving. By the age of twenty she enlisted, shortly taken from the National Guard to provide search and rescue and special operations skills to the Umbrella Corporation's highly professional team lead by James Shade aka One.
From a hard life to begin with, Rain always kept to herself and kept her distance from people that had tried to get close to her, closing herself off from the general public. Ocampo believes she needs to do what she is told and get it done in the timely fashion they have specified. While training for the special ops did she meet the 'love' of her life or a real pain in the ass, J.D. Salinas. Little did hey both know that they would be shoved into the Hive (an underground laboratory owned by the Umbrella Corporation) and stationed in Raccoon City.
However when they enter the mansion they are quickly whisked away into the world of Umbrella's horrors. Not only did a man by the name of Matt Addison decide to pose as a cop, but their other team member Alice didn't remember one damn thing about the mission. However, did Rain see ...the undead? Was she dreaming? That was until she was taken aside by someone and then it went black from there.
RP Sample:
“What the fuck?” Rain's raspy voice exhaled onto the pavement. Or rather, in the pavement. She was tipped so her head was nearly mashed with her face against the asphalt and finally picked up her head with a heavy feeling of regret on her shoulders. Last thing the young woman remembered was being pricked with some needle. Was it fluid that made her conk out? Brown eyes stared up at the place, no street signs, no cars...nothing. Slowly her hands began to push down onto the pavement and pulled herself up. At least the girl didn't break her nose smashing into the fucking ground. A wince exhaled from her lips. Toughen I up, bitch. she thought to herself and slowly got up to her feet.
That's when something felt like it shouldn't be there. Not even just the enormous headache in her mind but also the tattoo on her wrist. “Where the hell did this come from?” narrowing her eyes on it, but immediately reached for her knife at the back of her belt. Nada. Nothing. Furrowing those dark brows did Ocampo frown and looked for where the sounds of voices could possibly be coming from. She staggered as much as she wished she hadn't, still felt woozy and tired. Not saying a word, better to catch the person by surprise. Or rather, people. Seemed like someone was fighting or were, others were speaking.
And call her crazy but something told the young woman that these people were 'victims' as well.
